Annual Wage Review 2014–15 [2015] FWCFB 3500 (2 June 2015)
The Fair Work Commission has published its Decision, raising minimum award wages in all modern awards by 2.5%. This brings the Federal Minimum Wage for a full time adult employee to $656.90 per week or $17.29 per hour. These rates will come into effect from the first full pay period which commences on or after 1st July 2015.
If your workplace is regulated by an enterprise agreement, this decision is of no effect, save and except that you must ensure no employee is paid less than the Federal Minimum Wage, nor less than what they would be paid as a minimum under any relevant modern award that would cover you and your employees in the absence of an enterprise agreement. This is regardless of what rate is provided for in your agreement.
